About the client
The client provides EHR and revenue cycle management software to hospitals and clinics of every size, along with managed IT services. Its customers need training when they go live and whenever staff change.
The challenge
Product training was delivered in live sessions and scattered help documents. Customers wanted self-paced training they could come back to, organized by product and by job role.
What we delivered
- Branded training portal: a custom Moodle theme matching the client’s brand, with links to its support center and help documentation
- Course catalog by product line: inpatient EHR, ambulatory EHR, practice management, revenue cycle management, and emergency department software
- Inpatient EHR courses: configuration, clinical and provider dashboards, clinical documentation, nutrition, health information management, imaging, medication management, orders, and the patient portal
- Ambulatory EHR courses: a numbered module series covering user accounts, dashboard, messaging, scheduling, tools, configuration, patients, notes, and the patient portal
- Role-based workflows: separate tracks for front office staff, medical assistants, and providers
- Revenue cycle courses: coded courses from introduction through registration, scheduling, billing, payment posting, collections, bad debt, medical records, and trust fund accounting
- Emergency department courses: introductions for nurses and for providers
- Course search and expandable categories on the home page
- Mobile access through the Moodle app
